Ancester Research - Research Projects

The historical records available in England are extensive for the period after 1800 and for most lines of ancestry there should be little difficulty in tracing your family tree back to the late 18th century through civil registration and census returns, even if the initial information you have is limited to just a name and a date of birth or marriage.

With more extensive research, many families can be traced back to the middle of the 1700's and many even further, back to the start of parish registers in 1538. Prior to civil registration in 1837, much depends on the survival of parish records, some have been destroyed, or simply become unreadable, however, many have been preserved by record offices, churches and archive departments throughout the country.

Your research project depends on how far back you wish to go and how many ancestral lines you wish to trace and for that reason we have devised three levels of research projects, our Bronze, Silver and Gold packages which can be individually tailored to meet the needs of our clients. Further detailed information and the cost of each package is available by clicking on Fees.
